Resurfacing on Welham Road from Outside no’s 148/150 Moorgate through to the bus layby North of the junctions with Little Gringley Lane / Pinfold Lane in Welham 4th Nov to 25th Nov 2024. The following areas will be affected

• Moorgate between the junction with Tiln Lane and the junction with Lidget Lane.
• Welham Road between the Junction with Lidget Lane and the Junction with Bone Mill Lane.
• Welham Grove from the junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25m.
• Lidget Lane from the junction with Moorgate / Welham Road to junction with Moorgate Park.
• Longholme Road from the junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25m.
• Pinfold Lane from the junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25m.
• Little Gringley Lane from the junction with Welham Road to the junction with Leverton Road.

The carriageways on Moorgate and Welham Road also have a prohibition on waiting order in place to prevent vehicles from parking. Any vehicles parked or left on the above roads, during working hours on the programmed dates could receive a Penalty Charge (£70) from a Civil Enforcement Officer. There is also a possibility that a vehicle could be removed from the street by a tow truck should it impede the works. This would then incur a storage and release fee (minimum £85 per vehicle) in addition to the Penalty Charge Notice.

The major carriageway resurfacing works will be carried out by Via East Midlands Ltd and RPH Surfacing, and should be completed over 35 nights, weather permitting. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

During the carriageway resurfacing works only limited vehicle access may be permitted within the working area at certain times, especially when machinery is working in the vicinity of your property / street. A certain amount of minor noise may be generated with this operation such as engine noise of equipment and pneumatic excavation, but we endeavour to keep this to a minimum. Construction work may continue beyond the stated hours in isolated cases and the workforce may still be onsite to prevent vehicles damaging freshly laid materials. A signed diversion route will be in place for through traffic during the duration of the road closure. Traffic Marshalls will be in the vicinity of the junctions throughoutthe working periods to give advice on access / egress for residents. Please take care during these works and observe all signs and instructions from site personnel.
