Parish Pasture Footpath clearance

Over 20 volunteers lending a hand with the removal of red chippings from the parish pasture footpath then spreading over the allotment car park showing a wonderful community spirit

Published: 30 September 2024

This weekend over 20 volunteers gave up their Saturday morning to help with the removal of red chippings from the parish pasture footpath.

Allotment holders, Ross & Dave (the farmers that supplied the buckets), and members of the public from all age groups worked their socks off over 2 hours on Saturday morning. The red chippings from the parish pasture footpath were shovelled in to the buckets which were then moved to the allotment car park.

A huge thank you to Dan from the Kings Arms for supplying sausage baps free of charge, and also to Trent Hire for supplying the wacker plate, also free of charge.

The parish council extends their heartfelt thanks to all of the hard working volunteers who made this possible. Your hard work will allow the path to be used by wheelchair and pushchair users allowing the whole of our community to enjoy the pastures.
